Gadget - KeySmart

So I saw this in an article from the Art of Manliness website as an advertisement for the KeySmart . I was very intrigued by it and though OK it's cool I want one. If it can do what it describes then it should solve the Pocket Budge of my Keys.  Oh it took care of that and more! It has slimmed down the key into a very easy to carry in my pocket especially in my tight jeans. I love it so much and it was fairly each to put the keys in and screw together. I found that I was also able to use one of my Kingston USB Flash drive into it also so very much a bonus. The price is a bit steep but I think it was well worth the $20. There are different Colors to choose from and also a there is a titanium version.  Check it out and get yourself one. You can Order on Amazon Also! KeySmart

Currently Reading - What Women Want In A Man

How to Become the Man That Women Want to Love and Obey…in Every Way In order to attract and more importantly, KEEP a good woman in your life, you must become the kind of man that she simply cannot live without. This is your only job as a man when it comes to dating and relating with women.  You don’t need a bunch of seduction techniques, mind games, or pick-up tactics to make a woman want you. Because quite frankly, no seduction technique in the world will turn a woman on and make her want you if she does not RESPECT you as a man.  If a woman cannot respect you as a man, she won’t be able to trust you. If she isn’t able to place her trust in you, she simply cannot fall in love or STAY in love with you.  More Info: Purchase on Amazon

Something Yummy - Quest Nutrition Protein Bars, Cinnamon Roll

Its end of the Month and that usually means it's time to restock on protien bars the after working out refuel after working out at the gym. So I have started picking up Protein Bars at the store and found that the Cinnamon Roll and Peanut Butter version of the Quest Nutrition Bars fit the $ Bill. They give a good stack of protein and Carbs to help the recovery processes in building muscle and refuel me. They taste pretty good and are not gritty like some thing or have a bad after taste. The great thing about them is there is NO SOY unlike most others. If you have been doing your research it's not good news for Soy products for the Male.   So kudos to the makers. There are other flavors but these two I like and usually buy a box each time I am stocking up. They make a good snack also when you just have to have something when your Shoe starts to look appetizing to eat so I keep one with me just about every where I go. Gadget - Fitbit

I've been wearing a Fitbit for over a year now and thought I would review it for those that are looking for something to help with fitness and loosing weight. This is one of those things that I bought long ago and never really used much after the initial fail of 2 months that most people go through. IT seems people will keep something for either 2 weeks or 2 months then fail or loose interest or give up. This was the case for me. However I picked it back up and been wearing it ever seen. It needs to be charged about once a week which is very nice. And usually only take an hour when plugged into the wall outlet.  When I bought it it was about 110 US dollars initially but they have come down in price now and there a several version to choose from now.  I have the simple one as seen here.  I have been thinking about getting the nicer one now that also monitors the pulse.  The initial Fitbit I bought the band broke with in 3 days. I was able to return it and get a new on...

Update - 2/23/2015 252 pounds

Time for an Update! I'm at 252 YAY! So since Aug 18th it's now 53 pounds that I have lost in the last 6 months. The target is about 190 or 9% body fat which ever comes first. The reason that I say this is cause I am doing heavy lifting and putting on muscle so that does change things. My height is 5'11 close to 6 foot from what i can tell depending on what chart you go by the optimal weight for a 5'11 male is 180. However I am pretty broad shouldered and thick so I figure around 190ish should be a good goal to go for.  I've gone from a size 50-52 down to a size 40 at this point. Looking pretty good in cloths however I still have alot to loose. But happy with what I see so far.

Getting Organized - Food Storage

So when putting together meals and especially a lot of meals together (since I cook in bulk quantities) space became an issue in the frig and freezer. Also trying to fit two meals in my lunch bag that I take to work become an issue as well. I found that the Glad and Ziploc containers work well to setup single serving portions. They are Washer, Microwave, and Freezer safe plus no BPA so they are perfect. These hold up well and the only time I have had a couple break was when I dropped them on the floor when I pulled them out of the freezer. But if they are just cracked you can use the broken ones to plant things in. The crack allows the water to drain out. One make a scoop out of them also. They are still useful if you put your mind to it.  I usually keep an eye out when they go on sale and stock up on them. They are handy through out the house to store things in. When I am not using them they stack really well into the cabinet and don't take a lot of space. I can get a serving of...

Something yummy - KIT's Organic Dark Chocolate Chili Almond

So working out at the gym  I like to have something to eat to help with the muscle recovery and growth. So I have tried several things out there to fill that chocolate craving. and the Clif KIT's Organic Dark Chocolate Chili Almond   has been a pretty tasty treat after working out. It's pretty much a brownie in form and I really do love it. I had originally pick them up on whim at the local Natural Groceries store on a whim to try out. I'm glade I did. The chili flavor only makes it better and it's not really hot at all.

The Make Over

So I wanted to give an update on my current weight. As I posted I have been struggling with weight loss for a long time. Starting at 315 I'm not down to 254. YAY! I had the extreme pleasure or wearing an old favorite shirt then I have not been able to wear for the last 15 years. I keep that shirt around cause it was the shirt I bought at Philmont Scout Ranch the first time I have ever been. So the shirt has special meaning to me. I promised myself I would never get rid of that shirt. I had always thought about mounting it on the way with my Philmont Patches, photos and items I had collect from that experience. As it made a very big impression in my life when I was growing up.  Least to say I am very pleased.  I didn't make the goal I had set up of 240 by New Years however I am still very please as I know I have most more fat as I have put on a lot of muscle that can account for as I have lost 5 pant sizes currently. The target weight is 185 if I can manage it or even 190. I ...

Project - Home Built NAS

So for awhile now I have wanted to have my own Network Attached Storage - "NAS" unit for awhile now to store my Media and backups from my other devices (Computers, Tablet, etc.) It would over all save space on my other devices plus allow my to manage the content far easier than having it spread out amongst the other devices.   I've used Western Digitals Personal Cloud and other similar products before however space was always an issue and  the older generation of these devices offered little to no ability to Upgrade them. So Its time to build our own NAS device. Searching around I came up with some options. 1. Take an old PC and Convert it into something. 2. Buy and build a box specifically for it. Being tight on the budget I opted for the first option. Having several older PC's laying around made this a simple choice to re-use what I got. So I found an Older PC that had 8gig of RAM with a 8 Core AMD processor. Perfect for the job a little more power than needed but...

Practicing Mindfulness: An Introduction to Meditation Meditation - the technique of mental focusing for enhanced awareness and self-mastery - offers deep and lasting benefits for mental functioning and emotional health, as well as for physical health and well-being. This practice is closely related to "mindfulness," which Professor Muesse defines as "a deliberate way of paying attention to what is occurring within oneself as it is happening. It is the process of attentively observing your experience as it unfolds, without judgment or evaluation."

Book Review - The Atlantis Gene: The Origin Mystery

The Atlantis Gene: The Origin Mystery Great book the main characters were all well developed and believable. I like how the author had you keep guessing what would happen next and take paths that you would not expect. I am definitely going to be getting the next book. Reading the book it feels like a fresh breath of air it's something new and different. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
